Bobo to Mali

This is just a perfuntory, rushed, wave at the world, hello everyone I'm not dead kind of message. I've been in Bobo-Dioulasso these past days. Today, in an hour, I leave for Mali. One has her ear to the ground, and one has heard the rumblings of expensive internet cafes in Mali, so I may be silent for a while. Yesterday I rented a scooter and buzzed around the sahel, feeling very Thelma and Louisesque, cool and tough and sunburned. I beheld enormous sacred catfish.
