Vice Tooth

I was in Djenné, this medieval town built of clay and stray with a huge clay and straw mosque at it's center. Djenné was a depot on the trade routes through the Sahara; now it's crawling with guides but still very lovely. The town is 100% Muslim. When you're served a beer at the hotel you have to hide the bottle under the table. It struck me though, while wandering around in the mud maze, that men in Djenné smoke an awful lot: lighting one cigarette off the end of another, smoking the filter with that frenzied greediness of addicts. I guess everyone needs a vice outlit.
